Tim Turbeville's Obituary
James Timothy Turbeville
February 21, 1955 - March 8, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Timothy (Tim) Turbeville, who peacefully
entered into rest on March 8, 2025, at the age of 70. Tim was a devoted husband, father,
grandfather, and friend whose integrity, work ethic, and kindness touched many lives.
Born on February 21, 1955, in Lakeland, Florida, Tim was the son of the late James and Gladys
Turbeville. He grew up with a deep love for family, faith, and making music. After earning his
bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, he dedicated over 50 years to his career
as a roofing contractor and business owner, where his integrity and workmanship made a
lasting impact.
Tim’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving husband to his wife of 50 years, Susan
Turbeville, and a proud father to Stephanie Harrison and Brianna Turbeville. His three
grandchildren—Arabella, Samuel, and Ren—were his greatest treasures, who he cherished
spending time with at every opportunity.
A man of unwavering faith, Tim was actively involved in his church, serving as the bassist for
Victory Church’s worship team for over 35 years. His love for making music, science, and
Biblical studies will be held dear by those who knew him.
Tim is survived by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, his sisters, Lovaline Winget, Glenda
Campbell, and Shiela Brown, and his precious cat, Bentley. He is preceded in death by his
parents and his sisters, Blondine Pope and Wanda Clark.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Victory
Church, 1401 Griffin Road Lakeland, FL. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30
AM – 9:50 AM.
Tim’s faithfulness, laughter, and unwavering faith will remain in our hearts forever.
