After yesterday’s celebration of life, I reflected on how Tara was consistently described as one who cared about others first. I reinforce and further attest to the validity of this description.
My toughest interaction with Tara and Eric as our neighbors was the night that I struck a parked vehicle that I didn’t see until too late in the dark. Tara wasn’t concerned about either vehicle, but about my well-being. Her compassion ensured that we remained friends as neighbors.
Wish she was still here, but rejoice that Tara is home with our Lord.

I didn’t know Tara but I know her daughter ,Sydney, and that tells me all I need to know. It’s always hard for those left behind to understand why someone so special is called to heaven. Through love of family , friends and time the emptiness becomes less. Tara will always be with you in your hearts. She will continue to guide and protect you from heaven.

Tara was a special angel. She came to Eric just when he needed her the most. The first time he brought her to meet us, we had a river cabin and a hyper dog named Cody. Tara would throw a stick for Cody down to the muddy water and Cody would bring it up and throw it at her feet. I said,” Tara He’s getting your new white tennis shoes all muddy.” She looked down at them and said,” they’ll wash.” I took Eric aside and said,” she’s the one.” She definitely was.
