Stacy Michelle Taber's Obituary
Stacy Michelle Taber, age 53, passed away on December 21, 2025. She was born on May 10, 1972, in Harrisburg, Illinois, to Terry (Harr) and Larry Taber.
Stacy was a proud graduate of Lake Gibson Senior High School, Class of 1990. She continued her education with dedication and purpose, earning membership in the National Technical Honor Society in Surgical Technology in May 2005. That same year, she graduated with an Associate Degree in Surgical Technology from Traviss Technical Center.
In 2020, Stacy began working her “dream job” as a Medical Transcriptionist with BayCare, a role that reflected both her skills and her passion for healthcare.
Stacy was a devoted mother whose greatest joy was her daughters. She welcomed her first daughter, Kylie, in 2004, and her second daughter, Kenzie, in 2018. She took immense pride in their accomplishments, celebrating Kenzie’s kindergarten graduation in May 2025 and Kylie’s graduation from Nova Southeastern University in December 2025.
Stacy loved life’s simple and joyful moments. She enjoyed going to rock concerts, taking nature hikes, gardening, and spending time outdoors. She had a special love for animals—especially her beloved cats—and cherished every moment spent with her daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Kylie Taber and Kenzie Gilmore; her mother, Terry Taber Combee; her sister, Laurie Taber Rewis; and her cherished pet cats, Skye and Mittens Taber.
