I was married to Buddy Burney for many years. I can't recall the number of times he has told me stories about Bobby and their youth. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Bobby, my memories tell me he was a wonderful man. I am so sorry Zelda for your loss. We lost Buddy in 2009 and I still loved him so. My sincere condolences to you and the family.
Such a fun person. Loved him to pieces. I can remember as a little girl when he and Zelda were dating, they would come by our house and I do believe Zelda was sitting in his lap. I would tell mom and dad she was sitting so close to him you couldn't get a pin between them. Just true love that lasted for many, many years. He will be missed by everyone. Rest in Peace Bob. Prayers for Zelda, Robert, Ed and families.

i am truly sorry for the loss of your father, grandfather, friend and confidant. He is also my favorite Uncle, who as a child i was always in awe when he visited NC. He was (as a child to me) a mountain of a man, who loved his family very much. i know what it is like to loose a parent, so you will grieve, but you will always remember the good things about him, as I will as well. in life there are two definites; (1) being born, (2) passing away. What we do in between those two dates is up to us. I believe that Uncle Bobby did the best he could to provide for Aunt Zelda, Robert, and Ed, that he possibly could. Remember the good times that you had with him. RIP Uncle Bobby, you have earned your peace! i will certainly miss you.
