My heart was saddened to hear that Phillip had passed. I met Phillip back in the 60's at the gas station he was running at that time. I drove up to his gas station in Kathleen, FL on my orange 57 Chevy. Phillip struck up a conversation with me about my Chevy. We became instant friends! Phillip helped me rebuild the engine in my Chevy right! It was not "Mr. Pitiful" after that! He was an excellent engine builder. Phillip also helped me get my first job after I came home from Vietnam a few years later. I learned a lot from him. We had many great times together at that gas station in Kathleen and he was welcome at my home anytime! My wife and I send our condolences to the family. I am sure he will be dearly missed!
