April 3rd, 1993 Dr. Lack collapsed during the evening service at Mt. Zion in Canton, NC. I remember this because at the same time my grandmother died in Haywood County Hospital. Dr. Lack was taken to the emergency room there, and we went by to see him as we left. He was in tears, not because of his own situation, but because he felt that he should be ministering to our family instead of being a patient. This is the kindness and encouragement he showed on a daily basis, and I count it a blessing to have known him.

Just learned in church this morning of Dr. Lack's passing. He was the pastor of my teen years and I have never forgotten him or your mom. His leadership and his humble spirit made an impact on the young people and young adults in our church. Amy and Judy and families thinking of you and praying for God's comfort.

Dr. Lack made a huge impact in my life. His knowledge of the bible and wisdom was like none other. Many times when thumbing through my bible I think about his worn bible pages and notes through out. I am grateful I knew Dr. Lack and know Jesus is welcoming him home and saying, well done my good and faithful servant!
