Leonard “Lenny” Stevens
Lakeland – Leonard “Lenny” Stevens, 72, passed away October 25, 2019.
He was born March 15, 1947 in Dover, New Jersey to the late Leonard Stevens and Roberta “Stevens” Searles.
Lenny worked for Cushman Wakefield in New York City for 10 years. He then moved to Lakeland and started his career with the USF Sun Dome for 20 years. After retiring he became employed by the Lakeland Civic Center, and retired in 2000.
Lenny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Stevens; sister, Flossie Caskey; and 2 grandsons, James F. Searles, III and Austin Gill. Lenny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Helen Stevens of Lakeland; daughters, Dawn (Billy) Searles, Brenda (James) Searles, Sherri Stevens (Junior Lance); sons, Lenny (Brenda) Stevens and Kenny Stevens (Michelle Butts), all of Lakeland; sisters, Dorothy Kostka (Bill Quick), Irene Bishop and Judy Trautman; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way.
The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 from 10-11 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland. Services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
