Lee Jay True's Obituary
Lee J. True 86 of Groveland passed away on Wednesday, Oct 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born on Jan. 31, 1932 in East Prairie, MO to Mr. & Mrs. Carol & Tola (Brewer) True. Upon graduation from high school, Lee joined the US Army where he served during the Korean conflict, while serving his country he received 2 bronze stars. He made the lifelong decision to follow his calling to serve his Lord and Savior as a minister which was a decision he was most proud of and served as a pastor to many during his 50+ years of service, he also enjoyed his time as a truck driver, which he also did for many years. Lee was preceded in death by his daughter Jamie in 2017 and is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Wanda Carter True of Groveland, FL sons Terry True of Muscle Shoals, AL, Dale (Faith) True of Cape Girardeau, MO and Jeff Clark of Groveland, FL, daughters Leah Kay True of Groveland, FL, Kim (Robin) Potter of Groveland, FL, Lynn (David) Kent of Ormond by the Sea, FL, sister Pat Broyles of Festus, MO, 17 Grandchildren and 6 1/2 Great, Grandchildren. Lee’s family will receive friends on Monday, Oct 22, 2018 at the First Church of God of Bushnell, 105 E. Central Ave., Bushnell, FL from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at which time a service will take place. Lee will be laid to rest at the Mascotte Cemetery.
