JAMES EDWARD CHAPMAN, 76
LAKELAND – was born on December 18, 1940 in Jacksonville, Florida to Eva Higginbotham Chapman and Johnnie Chapman, Sr.. He passed away on December 22, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dorothy N. Chapman and his children Jamie Veliz, Melony Richards, Linese Chapman and (step-daughter) Sonia Nunez. He is also survived by grandchildren, Victoria DeDiego, Eric DeDiego, Isabel Veliz, James Lowman, Matthew Lowman, Basil Thompson, Bryan Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Corey Fals and Katie Hannan. He also loved and enjoyed many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by siblings Hubert Chapman Sr., Shirley Chapman Wilson, Ray Chapman, Kyle Chapman, Caroline Chapman Mills, and V Ann Leto. Preceded in death by Johnnie Chapman Sr., Johnnie Chapman Jr., Teddie Chapman, Linda Chapman. He worked 18 years as Produce Manager for Pantry Pride and several years as Maintenance Engineer for hotels.
He lived a full life, finding joy in the details and challenges of his work and spending time with his family and friends.
Services are being held on January 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Church, (chapel) location at 1401 Griffin Rd., Lakeland, FL 33810.
