I first met Frank Sypniewski - when I left 5th Special Forces and the CIA at Fort Bragg, N.C., in 1971 and joined the Uniform Division of the Secret Service [White House Division]. Frank was my training officer Lieutenant] at the Secret Service Academy as a member of Class 10. We worked together at the WH for another year.
He was a true Christian man with a heart of gold and wisdom beyond his years. He was a solid family man who adored his wife Lillian and their children. Frank spent his time protecting the US President - leading the other officers and serving anyone he could - with a kind thought; word or further inspiration for a fulfilled life.
Frank helped me immensely and pointed me away from Law Enforcement - because of my specialized skill sets - which allowed me to finish my college degree and go on for two [2] additional Master's Degrees, an MBA and in Technology Management.
I owe a lot to Frank and was back in touch with him as of about five years ago. We had some wonderful catching up to do and saying in touch until his passing. Lillian also became a new and solid friend in our relationship. My wife and pray for her strength to endure his passing.
Frank will be sorely missed by all and will be looking over all of us - in a role he never left - protector and guide.
