Lakeland - Frank Patrick Fanni, 73, passed away November 1, 2024.
Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 7, 1951. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he owned numerous businesses before establishing A Touch Above, serving the community with dove releases at ceremonies throughout the county. Frank was also a part of the Polk County Pigeon Racing Club. He grew up playing baseball and continued to enjoy watching the game. His favorite team to follow was the Cleveland Indians, now known as the Cleveland Guardians.
Frank is survived by his wife, Diane Burnett; daughter, Julia (Greg) Marshall; son, Chris Fanni; siblings, Billy Mockler, Mary Ann Rizzo and Carol Coates; grandchildren, Charity, Tyler, Trenton and Braelynn; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Giacobbe.
Funeral services for Frank will be Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10 am at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL, followed by interment at Oak Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors in Frank’s memory.
