LAKELAND- Felix Nieves-Delgado passed away on Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Felix was born on July 30, 1936 to Andres Nieves and Marcola Delgado in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He moved to Lakeland in 2001 from Caguas, Puerto Rico. He worked for McDonald’s (Sumpter Enterprises) as a maintenance employee and for 27 years worked for Café Crema in Puerto Rico and ended being a Production Supervisor. He was a baseball fan as well as a baseball and dominoes player. He was a member of the Lakeland Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist Company.
He is survived by his wife, Roxy Sauri-Nogueras; daughters, Iris N. Nieves-Sauri and Iris V. Nieves-Sauri; sons, Felix Nieves-Sauri, Angel M. Nieves-Sauri, Wilfredo Nieves-Sauri and Jose F. Nieves-Sauri; grandchildren, Josue G. Nieves-Colon, Koralys N. Alvarez-Nieves, Esther M. Nieves-Rodriguez, Wilfredo Nieves-Pagan, Wildaly Nieves-Pagan, Valerie M. Nieves-Arroyo, Andrea D. Alvarez-Nieves, Gabriela A. Nieves-Lebron, and Jose Alexander Nieves.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and the Lakeland Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist church located at 2740 N Galloway Road in Lakeland, Florida for building fund.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 4th from 10am to 11am at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. Funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11am.
