Doris Jean Pardue Beach, 86
Doris Jean Beach, a resident of Bradenton Oaks Assisted Living in Bradenton, Florida passed away on November 19, 2016. Doris was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 15, 1930 to John Pardue and Mattie Sue Vincent. She grew up surrounded by her many friends and her siblings Ellen and Fred. Doris married Cecil Beach in March of 1949 and together they successfully raised a family of five sons. She was a lifelong Baptist and was a devoted member of Northgate Baptist Church for 50 years, often conducting Sunday school classes there. Loving music and having a beautiful soprano voice, Doris was always a member of her church’s choir and occasionally sang on local radio shows. She also was an avid game show fan and devoted owner of her dog Taffy. Doris lived in the Tampa area since 1965. She is survived by her children Steve, Rex, Kevin, Kyle, and Quentin, her former husband Cecil, plus two nieces, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family extends a special thank you to Tidewell Hospice of Manatee County for their caring assistance and to her friends and the staff at the Bradenton Oaks who made her final months more pleasant. Visitation will be held Monday November 21, 2016 from 12-1pm with a 1pm service at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel. Donations may be made to a favorite cancer charity or hospice organization.
