I heard your infectious laughter.
I heard your silent cries.
I saw your strength to persevere. Yet saw the weakness in your eyes.
I saw your brain that was so smart. Yet, saw that same brain as so confused. It didn’t understand the events of life, and why it all happened to you.
Your heart was shattered in pieces. Yet each piece possessed the ability to love. A broken love, yet so pure now flies away like a dove.
You told me we are now the elders and need to call each other aunt. Auntie Debbie you’d call me and then you’d always laugh.
You were strong in so many ways! Strong personality, strong laughter, strong knowledge of the bible, strong vocabulary skills, strong willed…. Just strong!! Yet, in your strength …………..
To fight the fights that you’ve had in your life, so many would not be able to do. To win, and lose; to fall, yet rise; to smile while crying too.
It all took bravery!! Bravery that is you!
The mother of a fallen soldier, the daughter who found her dad deceased. Who can say how to feel or respond, with all the trauma that you’ve endured.
I’m sorry I could not be the person with right help needed to pull you through. I’m sorry that at times I disappeared with not knowing what else to do.
Just know, I will never forget the wonderful times that we shared. Just know my pep talks and fussing at you is because I truly cared.
My heart cries now because time is lost and is not on our side. You took the road, we all must take …so for now I’ll say goodbye💕
Love you Auntie Nayni!
Your time for rest has come so, “Rest In Peace” My Dear, I’m remembering your smile and jokes, you will be missed.
Rest in peace cousin! What fun we had for the time at Aunt sis house as youngsters.
I will miss you cousin. You were fun and always made me laugh. I remember the 'yo mama' jokes you and Shawn would go back and forth on. Those were hilarious. Keep laughing and keep smiling. Rest in Peace! Love you
Zuwena you may be gone from my sight but you are never gone from my heart I will always remember your special laugh I will always remember you whistling as a baby. Rest in Peace
