LAKELAND - Mr. Willis Lamar Smith passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at LRMC due to heart failure.
He was born November 18, 1935 in Lakeland, Florida to Hiram and Mattie (Knight) Smith.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Smith; brothers, Robert & Tommy Smith; and a grandson, Daniel Bradshaw. Survivors include his loving companion, Annette Davis; daughter, Gail Higgins; brothers, Dalton, Alton, Carl and Arthur Smith; sisters, Louise Folsom and Christine Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:30 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens (3350 Mall Hill Drive). Graveside services will follow at 11:00 AM at Socrum Cemetery.
