William John Wiest
LAKELAND – William John Wiest, 62, passed away on Tuesday Sept. 23, 2014 due to respiratory failure.
William was born on December. 18, 1951 in Germany. He moved to Lakeland from Georgia in 1979.
A proud Air Force veteran, William served during the Vietnam War.
He held a number of positions during his life, working as a truck driver, flooring specialist and for 15 years was a bicycle mechanic at Bent’s Schwinn.
William was predeceased by his parents, John Jr. and Lois Marie Wiest. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine; daughter, Rebekah; step-son, Troy; step-daughter, Tracie; sister, Patricia, 11 grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
A memorial service celebrating William’s life will be held on Saturday October 4th at 10 am at Family Worship Center.
