William "Geno" Poindexter
LAKELAND- William "Geno" Poindexter, 63, died May 22, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to heart failure. He worked as a motor winder in Bluefield, WV where he was born. After moving to Lakeland he worked as a pipe fitter and welder. He enjoyed riding his Harley, loved his vehicles and shooting pool. Mr. Poindexter was preceded in death by his wife Leigh Ann; parents William C. and Betty J. Poindexter; brother James C. Poindexter and his wife Virginia. He is survived by sons William E. "Billy" Poindexter, II, and his wife Yolanda "Yogi" of Prospect, VA, Ray Poindexter and his wife Christina of Lakeland, FL; daughter Kim Ice-Couch and husband Adam Couch of Lakeland, FL; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 pm at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel.
