Bill was the very first person I met when I moved here. From day one he had my heart. Many nights we sat on the corner and chatted with him. He was a man who never met a stranger. He loved helping with Gidget and her babies, loved Scruffy and King and adored his granddaughter Molly. I will forever be grateful he was in my life. May his family find peace in such a hard time.
Bill was our friend. Since the day we moved in across the street from him his kindness, carring and friendship to us meant so much. When he met our two 1 1/2 year old twin great-granddaughters he treated them like queens. When he learned of Ava's health issues he never failed to ask about them when they were not at our home. Bill and Scruffy would stop at the driveway and visit almost every day. His attitude towards his illness was inspirational. In his last weeks he would see our pain at what was coming and tell us "Not to worry - I'm only changing addresses." Bill was a friend who will be missed greatly.
