WILLIAM 'HOWARD' CHANDLER, 69
LAKELAND - William Howard Chandler, better known as just 'Howard,' was born March 10, 1946 and passed away on January 16, 2016.
Howard was born in Lyles, Tennessee. He joined the Army right out of high school and spent 12 years serving our country. After the Army he resided in Michigan, and he moved to Lakeland, Florida in 2007.
He leaves behind his four children: Theresa Toepel, Jessica Cory, Isaac Chandler and Amanda (Gosbani) Hernandez, and nine beautiful grandchildren and four great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Marshall (Joyce) Chandler, Margaret Chandler-Clark, James (Wilma) Chandler, Fay (Bill) Samson, and Jeanette Ballard, and his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded by his son, Michael Kevin Clees.
Howard was loved by all and showed love to everyone he met. He had a way of making people laugh and smile at any time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday (today) at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
