Wally T. Parker's Obituary
Wally T Parker, 72, passed away Feb. 12, 2020. He was born June 14, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware to Walter Thomas Parker and Margaret Louise Parker Turner. Wally is survived by his wife of 38 years, Penny, two daughters, Melanie and April, his brother, Ricky (Debbie) and their daughter, Angel, along with several nieces and nephews. Wally was a loving, devoted husband and father and friend to many. He did warehouse work, maintenance, security and lawn care over the years and for 14 years was on the Building and Grounds crew at Florida Southern College. Lakeland. He also worked a number of years on the grounds at First Presbyterian Church, Lakeland. Wally had a love of fishing and was on a pool league with APA. He also enjoyed bowling and Karaoke with his daughter Melanie. He was a super fan of wrestling and country music and was known as a fun-loving, down to earth county guy who could always put a smile on your face. Visitation will be Sat. Feb. 22, 2020 at 10:00am followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the LRH Foundation, P.O. Box 95448, Lakeland, FL 33804. Please designate your gift to the Palliative Care Unit in memory of Wally T. Parker.
