Virginia McGlathery, 100, of Lakeland, passed away December 12, 2018. Born on October 23, 1918 in Alabama City, AL, she was a resident of Lakeland since 1999, coming from Gadsden, AL. She attended First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Ellington of Lakeland, 2 grandchildren; Dawn English and Thad Ellington, and 4 great-grandchildren; Ben English, Tess English, Tre Ellington and Luke Ellington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, James R. McGlathery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 18th from 2-4 pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, TN.
