Virginia Carroll's Obituary
Virginia (Ginny) Carroll of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on July 24 at the age of 93. Ginny was born and spent her formative years in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was an alumnus of Central High School. Her main vocation in life was that of a homemaker, where her priorities were devoted to support and love for her daughters, husband, and grandchildren. She was noted for her creative skills, particularly in culinary areas. Ginny worked in a number of retail jobs, including manager for Sears in South Haven, Michigan. She was an active member of Beacon Fellowship in Lakeland. Survivors include her husband of 77 years, Maurice, daughters Joy (John) Geier of Holland, Michigan, and Terri (Richard) Auensen of South Haven, Michigan, grandsons Brett (Kelly) Geier of Portage, Michigan, and Dustin (Kim) Fennell of Atlanta, Georgia, and great grandchildren Clayton and Madison Geier. Ginny was predeceased by her parents, Rev. W.C. and Annie Laura Tallant, sisters Jannie Baumgartner, Nellie Bolton, Reba Werndli, Nina Blackburn, and brother, Caswell Tallant. A memorial service will be held at Beacon Hill Fellowship on August 3rd at 11:00am with visitation at 10:30am. The service can be seen online one week after funeral at Beacon Hill Fellowship on YouTube. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Beacon Hill Fellowship.
