Vincent Joseph Patrucco's Obituary
Vincent Joseph Patrucco, 70, of Lakeland, FL, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.
Born in Reno, Nevada on January 25, 1948, he was raised in the Catholic faith and is predeceased by his parents, Vincent Patrucco and Iona Futch Lyon.
Vince graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in 1975, and then earned his Juris Doctor from UF in 1980. He devoted his legal career to serving the State of Florida in three judicial circuits – based in Alachua County, Volusia County, and Polk County. Vince joined the 10th Circuit in Polk County in 1994 and served for 20 years as an Assistant State Attorney and felony division chief before his retirement in 2014. He was an ardent fan of Florida Gator football and enjoyed biking and walking.
Vince will be missed by his friends and survivors: sister Brenda Kiwacz, nephew Justin Stuart, and former wife Deborah Burke, with whom he remained close.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 30, 2 p.m., at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home Southside Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vince’s memory to SPCA Florida.
