Victor “Vic” Puhak
Lakeland – Victor “Vic” Puhak, 86, passed away Feb. 18, 2024.
Vic was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania on April 30, 1937. He served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. His career was in machining where he was a Master Machinist. Vic was active in a number of civic groups including: The Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion and the DAV. He also was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Vic was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Puhak; son, John D. Puhak, as well as his siblings. He is survived by his sons, Victor E. (Marlene) Puhak and Gene M. (Christie) Puhak; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 10-11 am, followed by an 11 am service at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. Interment with military honors will be in Florida National Cemetery on Monday 2/26 at 1PM.
