Valeta Baker's Obituary
Valeta Barton Baker of Lakeland, FL, passed away at the age 97 on April 7th. Valeta was born and raised in Lakeland, FL. Valeta was a bowling icon in Central Florida and was loved and respected by teammates and opponents alike. She won many awards over the years in bowling including City Champion. She was also a gold medal recipient in several categories of the Senior Olympics. Valeta and her husband were among the first residents of the Estates At Carpenters and thru the years enjoyed helping the other residents in many ways. Valeta is survived by her cousin, Barbara J. Coad, of Winter Park, FL. and Barbara’s daughters. Valeta was preceded in death by her husband Victor Baker, and her parents Clyde and Anna Lee Barton. Services will be held on April 17th in the auditorium of Estates At Carpenters (Lakeland, FL) @2pm.
