Tina Louise Kitchens' Obituary
Tina Louise Kitchens, 49
DADE CITY - On March 29 2016, Heaven welcomed home a sweet girl. Tina Louise Kitchens often sang "I'll Fly Away" in the precious, innocent voice of a Down's Syndrome angel, and shortly after the break of dawn, on a quiet, rainy morning, she did just that. Tina was loved by many and she gave much love back. She will be greatly missed.
Tina was the youngest daughter of Rev. A.W. (Bill) & Norma Kitchens and the baby sister to Connie Flynn (Paul), Vonnie Maples (Wendell) and Lisa Lauramoore (Dean). She is survived by 3 nieces and 2 nephews, 10 great nieces and nephews, 3 aunts and 5 cousins.
Tina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Marie Hallman of Lakeland FL and Barney and Alma Kitchens of Turkey Creek FL. Tina was born in Plant City FL on May 27, 1966.
She grew up in Dade City FL and attended Clinton Ave Baptist Church (now Pasadena Baptist) for many years, where her dad was founder and pastor. She attended 'the workshop' in Dade City (The Center for Independence) with her beloved handicapped friends for over 38 years.
Visitation will be Monday, 11:00am – 12:00pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, FL. Services will begin at 12:00pm and interment will follow at Socrum Cemetery. Condolences to the family may be offered at gentry-morrison.com.
