LAKELAND – Mrs. Tammy Nannette Wilt passed away due to Hydrocephalus on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
Tammy was born on August 2, 1961 to Thomas and Marie Scruggs in Lakeland, FL. She was a lifelong resident of Lakeland. Tammy was a Handicap school bus driver for the Polk County School System. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wilt; son, Jeremy Wilt; daughter, Rachel Dixon; mother, Marie Scruggs; brothers, Dwight Scruggs and Mark Scruggs; sisters, Glenda Finley, Cathy Goldsmith and Sandra Filmore; grandchildren, Alexis Wilt, Jonathan Wilt and Chloe Dixon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 2393 E.F. Griffin Road, Bartow, FL 33830
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 9:30 to 10 am at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. Funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel at 10 am.
