Sharon Boan Hancock's Obituary
Known for her immense love of God, family and friends; Sharon “Sha” Boan Hancock of Lakeland, Florida was called home on September 15th, 2024. She was born in Florence, South Carolina on May 8th, 1963. Her southern upbringing brought her the joy of hospitality, cooking and especially conversation. The testimony of her life was to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Sha loved being a part of a church family where she could serve others. She was a dedicated employee of Geico for 25 years. The birth of her first granddaughter Avery brought her new found strength and resilience through countless trials.
Sha is survived by her husband, Guy “Doug” Hancock; her son, Guy “Trey” Hancock (Alyssa); her mother, Voncille “Pat” Beasley Boan; her brother, Randall “Randy” Boan (Sally), her granddaughter , Avery Hancock; and her fur babies. She also had great love for her many nieces and nephews. There will be a grand reunion in heaven with her father, “Dan” Boan; sister, “Patti” Zeigler; and brother, “Danny” Boan. Her viewing will be at Gentry-Morrison on Saturday, September 21st from 10 AM- 12 PM. The memorial service will be held at Lifepoint Church on September 22nd at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to One More Child or A Woman’s Choice.
