Sarah Caroline Crosby's Obituary
Sarah Caroline Crosby, 75 of Lakeland, Florida passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on Friday, May 24, 2024.
Caroline was born on February 27, 1949 in Lakeland, Florida to Woody and Lucille (McCraw) Screws. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lifelong member and devout Christian of the Church of Christ and spent most of her working years as a homemaker and babysitting her grandchildren. After the kids were grown she found a career working for VISTE where she worked by helping the elderly, the common thread of her career and life was serving others.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Marvin Lee Crosby. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands; Susan Ortiz (Joedie), Teresa Hicks (Ryan) and Lori Williams (Troy) all of Lakeland, her grandchildren; Andrew Hancock (Kimberly), Cameron Hicks (Catherine), Whitney Brown (Jake), Allena Black (Jayden), Dakota Williams (Marissa), Wesley Williams and her great grandchildren; Gavin Brown and Lilliana Hancock. She is also survived by a large extended family.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on May 30, 2024 at Edgewood Church of Christ, 1815 E. Edgewood Drive, Lakeland, FL 33803. Flowers can be delivered to the family home of Susan Ortiz, 5333 Oxford Manor Circle, Lakeland, FL 33810 where they will be transported to the service.
