Sandra Denise Walker's Obituary
Sandra Denise Walker, who went by Denise, passed peacefully on December 4, 2025. She was born on February 23, 1962, in Lakeland, Florida to Robert Wayne and Sarah Claudean Welch. She was the second oldest of five children.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby; her daughter, Jessica; her grandchildren, Zoë and Connor; and her stepdaughter, Telina.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Walker, who was the love of her life. Her sons, Christopher and his wife Nicole Knight, Derek and his wife Julie Knight; her daughter, Sara and her husband Lewis Cook; and her stepson Curtis and his wife Brie Walker will carry her memory forward. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Seth, Caleb, Aiden, Greyson, Taylor, Kristjen, Jaylen, Gavin, Kaydence, and Xander, as well as several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Steven Welch, Sharon Lott, and Michael Welch, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Denise's children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and spending time with them was her greatest joy. She also found deep fulfillment in her time as a special education teacher, where she made a lasting impact on her students. She had a special gift for bringing family together and truly came alive when hosting gatherings surrounded by those she loved most. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home – Serenity Gardens Chaple on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Red roses may be sent in her memory.
