Ryan Weiss' Obituary
Ryan Kennedy Weiss, 19, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Born on February 24, 2005, he was a lifelong resident of Lakeland.
Ryan was exceptionally bright and imaginative. He liked to play chess and rummy, as well as fishing in the gulf with his Dad, brother, and grandma. He had a passion for the arts, which he often expressed through poetry. He was a skilled poet and musician, having produced his own music from the poems he wrote.
Ryan was also determined and hard working. At just 15 years old, he started his first job at the local screen printing shop, iNK, and was a faithful and dedicated employee for years until his passing.
Ryan is survived by his mother Kelly (Scott) Duguid and father Mark Weiss. He also leaves behind grandparents Bob and Carolyn Weiss; brother Tyler Weiss, stepsiblings Chloe and Sophie Duguid; aunt Jessica Weiss, uncle Bobby Haeck, and beloved dog, Sandy.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 PM, with memorial service to follow at 2:00PM, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel 3350 Mall Hill Drive.
