Rosette Paul's Obituary
Rosette Paul passed away in Lakeland, FL on Monday, November 11, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on November 5, 1937 to Louis and Carmen Paul. She was married and divorced young, she had three children. She spent the majority of her life going back and forth between Haiti and the United States, until permanently moving to the U.S. in 2013.
Rosette was a beautiful, soft-spoken, bright, spirited woman with a zest for life. She loved to party, dance, listen to music, bake cakes, make crémas, go to the beach, movies, church, and surround herself with family and friends. She loved to entertain and was a good host to all.
Rosette is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Vernon Paul, Edward Paul, Raymond Paul, Fritz Paul, Jacqueline Paul, and Laura Michel. She is survived by her children Betty (spouse John) Brutus, Frantz (spouse Jacci) Etienne, and Dimitri Etienne, as well as Jeff Etienne, who is very much like a son to her; they loved and adored each other immensely.
She is also survived by sisters Huberte Paul Duclosel and Monique Paul, twelve grandchildren- Marilyn (spouse Brandon Doggett), Patrick (spouse Stephanie Brutus), Michelle, Monique, Alexandra, Dominique, D'Ayrus (spouse DeShawn Henderson), Giana, Frantz, Malcolm, Xavier, Isaiah, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews Gonell, Jean Patrice, Vernon Jr, Magdalie, Marie Carmelle, Emmanuel, William, Samuelle, Gina, Ketlie, Ricky and Sonia.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel 3350 Mall Hill Drive Lakeland. The following morning, Thursday November 21, 2024 a visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, followed with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lakeland. Entombment at Serenity Gardens will immediately follow Mass services.
