Rosemary W. Lucas' Obituary
Lakeland-Rosemary W. Lucas, 88 passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018.
She was born on June 18, 1929 in Johnson City, NY to Joseph and Frances (Simandl) Pokorak and moved to FL in 1990 from Johnson City, NY. She was an administrative assistant in the food manufacturing industry, a member of Resurrection Catholic church and was an avid card player. She was united in marriage on September 2, 1950 to her loving husband, Robert W. Lucas.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Robert W. Lucas, mother: Frances Pokorak, father: Joseph Pokorak, siblings: Joseph (Rhoda) Pokorak, Robert (Barbara) Pokorak.
She is survived by her two daughters: Robin (Bill) Lea Giannetti of Pinellas Park and Lisa Lynn Hollenbeck of Binghamton, NY; sibling, Richard (Kathryn) Pokorak; granddaughter: Alicia Hollenbeck, grandson- Jeremy Hollenbeck and great-granddaughter- Scarlett Hollenbeck
She is also survived by her guardians: Kennith & Kimberly Jones in Lakeland.
Rosemary’s family and friends would like to give special thanks to Wedgewood Healthcare Center for the dignity and respect they showed her throughout the years.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland. Interment will follow at Glenn Abbey Cemetery in Auburndale.
