RONALD L. TRISSEL, 70
LAKELAND - Ronald LeRoy Trissel, 70, Lakeland, Florida passed away November 20, 2015, from cancer. Mr. Trissel was born on September 19, 1945, in Rockingham County and was the son of D. Lloyd Trissel and Alice Blosser Trissel of Harrisonburg. He graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 1967. During his 30 year career as a Hospital Food Service Administrator, Ron specialized in right-sizing organization while increasing quality and sales. He moved to Lakeland, Florida from Owensboro, Kentucky in 1996, to begin his second career as an Entrepreneur. He founded Gentry 21st Century Systems to develop a robotic system to revolutionize the world of sports advertising and sponsorship. He was of the Mennonite faith. On December 27, 1986, he married the former Barbara J. Wenning who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are three brothers, Larry (Ely) Trissel, Harrisonburg, Virginia, Dennis (Beth) Trissel, Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Greg (Marie) Trissel, Massanutten, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Pat Trissel, Harrisonburg; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerome and Alice (Bean) Wenning, Sellersburg, Indiana. Mr. Trissel was preceded in death by a brother, David Trissel and a sister-in-law, Catarina (Winter) Trissel.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Glenn Steiner will officiate. The family will proceed to the burial privately at Weavers Mennonite Church Cemetery.
