Ronald Eugene Eichholtz's Obituary
Ronald Eugene Eichholtz, 74 of Lakeland passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. He was born in Rochester, Indiana where he resided until moving to Florida in 1974 after serving his country during the Vietnam War.
Ronald was married to the late Elizabeth Jane Eichholtz, together, they raised three sons in the Lakeland area. Mr. Eichholtz was an accomplished drywaller and a master at his craft where he served the trade for more than forty years, leaving his mark in many homes and businesses of the area. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the area lakes catching bass. Additionally, he accompanied his sons hunting, where once he out sported them all. He was a proud member of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, and a true patriot.
Ronald is survived by his sons, Michael Teague (Jennifer), Ronnie Eichholtz (Tina), Bobby Eichholtz (Candy); grandchildren, Brittany, Makailey, Brooklyn, Dalton, Dylan (Bailie), Hannah, Ashton, Lexi, and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Ronald will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 12:00PM with a visiting hour from 11:00AM until service time at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. A committal service will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in memory of Ronald and Elizabeth to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization they were both passionate about.
