LAKELAND – Roger M. Chancey, 75, died August 23, 2018.
Mr. Chancey was born in Lakeland, FL on February 28, 1943 to the late Maston and Irene Chancey. He remained a life long resident of the area and was a graduate of Kathleen High School. Following graduation, he joined the Air Force where he served from 1961-1965 at Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio, TX. After being discharged from the Air Force he came back to Lakeland, FL where he began his career with Publix Super Markets in the grocery warehouse. He retired from Publix in 2006 after 43 years. He finished his career at Publix as a truck driver.
Mr. Chancey is survived by his three daughters, Stacy (Gary) Barber, Kim (Richard) Kelley and Nicki (Jeremy) Williams; six grandchildren, Maggie, Seth Caleb, Shannon, Carson and Connor.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland. Memorial Services to follow at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018 in the funeral home chapel.
