Rodney Leon Jarrett
AKA Hot Rod passed away on November 17, 2022. Rodney had been a resident of Lakeland for 56 years moving from Winchester, Indiana. He loved fishing, watching football, WWE smackdown wrestling, and playing bejeweled on his iPad. He loved playing with his pet Bella, watching Jeff Foxworthy and character Walter. He loved repeating Walter’s favorite Walmart Quote. He loved being with his family and friends. Rodney had such a kind heart; he would give you the shirt off his back if he had one.
Rodney is survived by his daughters Heather Jarrett of Jacksonville, Florida, Amber Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida; his sister Tammy Jarrett Lasseter of Lakeland, Florida, niece Jennifer Shirah Hall and husband Chad E. Hall of Lakeland, Florida, nephew Mike Bauer of Lakeland, Florida. 7 grandchildren all of Jacksonville, several great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews all of Lakeland, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins all out of state.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mary Jarrett, his sister Mary Louise, and his brother Dion Jarrett, as well as both sets of grandparents.
