Roberta Hayes' Obituary
Roberta Hayes, 81, passed away in on 6/8/2021.
A Florida native, she was born in Groveland in 1939 to parents Robert and Myra Smith. She was a longtime resident of Lakeland, having moved to the area in her early 20s.
Roberta worked for Auto-Owners Insurance as a Senior Underwriter for 37 years. She was a member of the Insurance Women of Polk County, as well as CPCU certified. Upon retirement, she developed an interest in real estate and became a realtor.
She was a fiercely devoted and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Roberta is survived by her son Jeff (and wife Mari) Smith of Orlando, and her beloved Calvary Baptist Church family.
Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church (1945 N. Florida Ave.) on Monday, June 14th, from 10-11:00AM, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Serenity Gardens in Lakeland (3350 Mall Hill Dr.)
