Robert Warren Shiver, 76
Lakeland – Robert Warren Shiver, 76, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019
at Lakeland Regional Health Center.
He was born in Tifton, GA on March 5, 1942 to the late Warren and Odie Shiver. He moved to Lakeland in 1952. Bob proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Basilone Destroyer. He retired in 2009 from Momentive Specialty Chemical Co. after 34 years as a truck driver and plant operator. Bob was a member of the Kathleen Baptist Church, and loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Bryson Shiver. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda (Duckett) Shiver; daughter, Teresa (David) Bass; son, Greg (Jennifer) Shiver; grandchildren, Casey (Sydney) Bass, Danielle (Carson) Shelby, Clayton Shiver and Samuel Shiver; great-granddaughters Paisley Bass, Sadie Bass and Caroline Shelby.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Kathleen Baptist Church, at 3939 2nd St NW Lakeland, FL 33810. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 pm. Internment will be held at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:30 pm. In Lieu of flower family is requesting that memorials may be made to Cornerstone Hospice or Truth and Grace Ministries at 3907 Tanner Rd. Dover, FL 33527
