Robert “Bobby” Johns
Age 78, of Lakeland, Florida passed away at home in his own bed, surrounded by his loving family on November 10, 2022. Bobby was a Florida native born in Kissimmee on September 25, 1944. He worked as a produce manager for Publix retiring in 1992. It was also at Publix where he met the love of his life, his wife Threasea with whom he spent 59 years,
Bobby loved playing golf. He was a 41-year member of the Lone Palm Golf Club. He enjoyed fishing in the Everglades and watching sports. He was a life-long Florida Gator and Miami Dolphins fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was always at their events cheering them on.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Threasea; sons Samuel Johns and wife Cyndi, Brian Johns and wife Stephanie; grandchildren Stephanie, Robby (Alex), Jonathan (Sierra), Brooke (Sam), Chase, and Caroline; great grandchildren Milliana, Ryker, Alonna, and Emma; his sister Suzanne Smith and husband Dan.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Anne Johns, his brother Marshall Johns, his great grandson Weston Cole Johns and his in-laws Samuel and Wynette Epps.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 15th from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM with a Celebration of Life to begin at 2:00 PM, Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, Florida 33810.
