Robert C. Hoffman's Obituary
Robert Charles Hoffman, 73, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at his residence in Lakeland.
Robert was born to the late Robert C. and Gale (Gorman) Hoffman on April 15, 1951 in Madison, Indiana. He and his family moved to Polk County in 1981, residing in Lake Wales until 1995 when they relocated to Lakeland.
Bob was a truck driver for various companies throughout his working years, and was employed with Praxair for many years prior to retirement.
Bob was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lakeland. He was a proud Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and actively served in their honor guard and color corps.
Bob graciously served his community as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and the church’s food bank for several years. He found much joy in serving his community.
In addition to community service, Bob had a variety of hobbies and interests. From woodworking, metalworking, and kayaking to reading and studying maps, Bob liked to stay busy.
Bob is preceded in death by a brother, William Hoffman, and daughters Traci Hoffman and Lisa Hoffman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Terry (Short) Hoffman, daughter Kim Bott, and sister Carol O’Neil.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lakeland, followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, with interment to follow at Lake Wales Cemetery.
