Robert “Bob” Broadbent
Lakeland – Robert “Bob” Broadbent, 82, passed away Jan. 14, 2019.
Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 16, 1936 to the late Henry and Jane Broadbent. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from law enforcement after holding numerous positions. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Bartow Jaycees, and the H.B. Plant Railroad Historical Society.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Broadbent; and sister, Gail Broadbent. He is survived by his children, Kathy White, Laurie (Wendell) Durham and Paula (Michael) Reckart; brother, Skip (Diane) Broadbent; grandchildren, Jenna Jensen, Amanda Hampton, Jessica Fillyaw, Davis Durham, Dillon Durham and Lauren Reckart; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jonathan, Millie and Tatum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be Thurs. Jan. 24th at 10 am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to H.B. Plant Railroad Historical Society 605 N. Collins Street, Plant City, FL 33563
