Robert Michael Brimson's Obituary
Robert Michael Brimson 59, of Lakeland went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at 10:38 am. Mike was born in Memphis, TN to Betty and Robert Brimson. After graduating from Seminole High School, he joined the Airforce to serve his country from (1977-1981) as an Aircraft Fuel System Mechanic, where he was trained in integral tank and fuel cell repair. Later in life, he met his wife Carol at Seminole Christian Fellowship at age 42 and later became a devoted father to five children. Mike worked at Raytheon as a troubleshooter for 14 years until he was physically unable to work. After becoming ill, Mike and his family moved to Lakeland, Florida, where he became a faithful member at Victory Church. He had a love for music, and earlier in life he spent many years serving on worship teams as a drummer. Some of things that he enjoyed doing with his family was going to Christian concerts, attending baseball games, and watching wrestling with his kids. The last few years of his life he loved any opportunity that he had to see his children participate in activities such as, baseball, football, and drumline. He is survived by his wife Carol, his children James (23), Matthew (16), Andrew (14), Jessica (10), Joshua (9) and his sister Delores. A memorial service will be held at The Light of Lights Chapel at Victory Church, 1401 Griffin Rd, Lakeland, FL at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018.
