Robert Bennett Breen's Obituary
Robert Bennett Breen, 91, passed away February 20, 2025 at Good Shepherd Hospice, Lakeland, Florida.
Bob was born on December 5, 1933 in Flushing, New York. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 – 1956 in the 101st Airborne Division as a Morse Interceptor. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany) and Good Conduct Medal while serving his country. Bob was a University of Florida Alumni, receiving his Associate of Arts degree in 1959. His career with the US Department of Agriculture span from 1959-1989. During this time he served as District Director in District 4 of Florida, and was with the Agricultural Stabilization & Conservation Service.
Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Breen; daughter, Becky Breen McCabe; son, Stephen Robert Breen (Dayna Dunigan Breen); and stepdaughter, Kenne Bates Wells.
Internment service will be held, Thursday February 27, 2025 at 1:30 pm at First United Methodist Church, 72 Lake Morton Dr. Lakeland, FL. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 3470 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33805
