Richard "Dick" J Urbany's Obituary
Richard J. Urbany, 80, known to many as "Dick", passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. He was born in Masontown, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Ella Urbany. He honorably served in the U.S. Army and earned a degree in Engineering from West Virginia University. After working for 35 years with Davy McKee, locally and internationally, he retired in 1999 and settled in Lakeland, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife Eunice; son Brian (Carla) Urbany; step daughters Nieke (David) Oglesby and Ina (Andy) Schaffer; grandchildren Kevin & Kasey Urbany, Dana Oglesby and Zachary & Forrest Schaffer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.Jude Children's Hospital in his memory.
