Reginald "Reggie" Boyd Anderson's Obituary
Reginald "Reggie" Boyd Anderson, 63, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, just days before his 64th birthday. Born in Macon, Georgia, on May 22, 1961, Reggie lived a life full of character, laughter, and love.
A man of many trades, Reggie spent his early years working in restaurants before becoming a skilled mechanic, and later, a dedicated truck driver until his retirement. No matter the job, Reggie put in honest work and brought his determination and humor with him every step of the way.
Reggie often said his greatest accomplishment was his children—and anyone who knew him would agree. He was a loving and devoted father, always putting family first.
Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and JoAnn, and his brothers, Chad and Kenny Jr.
He is survived by his four sons: Tazz Cody, Justin Cody, Mason Cody (with Amia Morrison), and Ian Cody (with Christina Scherfel, affectionately known as “TT”); his beloved grandchildren, Romy Morrison and Jeriah Morrison; his second mom, Dale Anderson; his sister Danielle Frisby and brother Wesley Anderson; and many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.
Strong-willed and a bit stubborn, Reggie had a big heart beneath his tough exterior. He was a true “dad joke” champion, known for making people laugh with his dry wit and charm. He loved fishing, gardening, tinkering with home projects, and playing music on the many instruments he kept around the house. He was also a talented artist—quietly gifted with a pencil and paper, even if he didn’t show it often. Most of all, Reggie loved being with his children and grandchildren—swapping stories from his childhood and theirs and playing with his grandkids every chance he got. He cherished those moments, always with a grin and a twinkle in his eye. Reggie was a man of faith and a lifelong Baptist, with a deep belief in family, hard work, and love.
His cremation will be handled by Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, and a private memorial service will be held by his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Reggie’s memory—a cause close to his heart and one he supported regularly.
Though he may be gone in body, Reggie lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was a father, a grandfather, a brother, a son, a friend, and a truly unforgettable soul.
