Ms. Rebecca Sue Hicks Lozano's Obituary
Rebecca Sue Hicks Lozano, born on August 7, 1953, in McKenzie, TN, passed away on August 2, 2024, in Lakeland, FL. A resident of Lakeland for over twenty years, Rebecca was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in caring for her family and others. She had a passion for crocheting and was known for making the best pancakes, with breakfast being her favorite meal of the day.
Rebecca's greatest joy came from caring for and loving her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, whose kind and nurturing demeanor touched the hearts of many.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Odell and Jewell Hicks, and her brothers, Robert Dwayne, Dwight Odell, Danny Kaye, and Steven Howard Hicks.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Smith, Michael Johns (Monique), and William Johns (Lashanda); her daughters, Melanie Brown (Rufus) and Melissa Allen; her sisters, Nancy Lynn Howell and Peggy Ann Bryant; her grandchildren, Christana Votino, Jessica Reyna, Jessie Reyna, Nia Brown, Alexis Brown, Michael Bell, Tiaira Whitley, Isaiah Whitley, Drake Lambert, Zach Lambert, Mason Smith, Ian Smith, Ariana Johns, Quinton Buchman, and William Johns; and her great-grandchildren, Braydon Coxville, Layla Votino, Liam Votino, Kash Reyna, Kahloe Reyna, Cornelius Smith, Braxton Foster, Heiress Northern, Jayzel Bell, Harmony Bell, and Lilah Reign Bell.
A memorial service to honor Rebecca's life and cherish her memory will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, at 2:00 PM in the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
