Phil Stephen Harris' Obituary
Phil Stephen Harris passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025 at the age of 83. He was born in Ellettsville, Indiana on January 19, 1942.
Phil is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon A. Harris, his son, Stephen Harris of Indianapolis, Indiana, his sister, Kathy Wright of Indiana, 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a daughter LeAnne Johnson who preceded him in death . In his own words, Phil spent his working life in "all phases of trucking".
Phil was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a chaplain of a veteran's group in Winter Haven. And he was a huge sports enthusiast. Sharon gave him the guest bedroom that he turned into his "man cave."
Phil and Sharon made their home in Foxwood Lake Estates at 4934 Deerwood Drive, Lakeland, Florida, in the Spring of 1997. They spent their summers in Indianapolis until 2014 when they decided to make Foxwood their permanent residence, where he was very active in the Foxwood community.
Phil was an active member of Victory Church in Lakeland. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Light of Lights Chapel, Victory Church, 1401 Griffin Road, Lakeland. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
