Pete Cross was born on April 25, 1941, and passed away on October 17, 2014, due to heart failure. He graduated from North Miami High School in 1959. He retired after 25 years of service with Publix Super Markets as an internal auditor. He was a 40 year member of Kathleen Lions club and a 40 year member of the Kathleen Masonic Lodge. His hobbies included golf, fishing, watching the Florida State Seminoles football team, NASCAR races, and most of all his competitive BBQ contest; attending the North Miami High mini reunions, seeing old friends, and most of all spending time with his BFF and road buddy Tater. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Donna Cross; surviving brother, Larry Cross, 2 children, Tim Cross (Wendy), Nicole Temples (Danny) and 1 grandson Anthony Temples. Services will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Kathleen Baptist Church. Reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, Kathleen High School FFA Alumni has established a scholarship fund in his name. Donations can be mailed to Kathleen High School FFA Alumni, P.O. Box 136 Kathleen, FL, 33849.
