Paul Simon, 97
Lakeland - Paul Simon went home to be with the Lord, December 29th, 2014 with his loving family by his side, after losing his battle with bladder cancer.
Born to Hungarian immigrants in Somerset, PA July 23, 1917, Paul moved his family to Lakeland from New Castle, PA, in 1955. He became a custom home builder and master carpenter. After retiring he spent most of his time in his vegetable garden and sharing his harvest with family and friends. He loved going to church and his faith and love for God was unwavering.
Paul served our country stateside during WWII, with the US Army, Special Troops, Second Army in Breckinridge, KY.
Paul is survived by his only child, Rosemary Simon Hano, granddaughters Jennifer Teague (Michael) & Lisa Perez, grandson David Paul Dail (Amber), granddaughters, Brittany, Makailey & Brooklyn Teague, Courtney Batykefer and his beloved dog Shadow.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17th, at 11am at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene, Lakeland, FL.
